Senior Technical AccountantLocation: Austin, TexasA fast-growing technology business is looking to hire a Senior Technical Accountant to join its finance team.This is a hands-on role focused on technical accounting, financial reporting, and supporting scalable processes as the business continues to grow.Key responsibilitiesResearch and apply US GAAP to complex accounting mattersPrepare technical accounting memos and support accounting conclusionsSupport financial statements, disclosures, and reporting activitiesReview areas such as revenue, leases, R&D, equity compensation, and long-term contractsPartner with external auditors on technical accounting mattersSupport internal controls, SOX readiness, and audit documentationContribute to accounting policy and process improvementsRequirements4–8 years of public accounting experience in the Big4Strong US GAAP and SEC reporting knowledgeExperience preparing technical accounting documentationERP systems experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldPreferredCPA or equivalent qualificationExperience in regulated, manufacturing, or IPO-ready environmentsExposure to long-term contract accounting
