Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and the ability to work collaboratively on various engineering projects. The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing product performance and reliability while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Creates designs for medical ultrasound products using 3-D design, modeling and other techniques including case packaging, tooling design and materials properties usage.
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors, and soliciting observations from operators.
Confirms design verification by comparing design output to design input.
Supports production changes by recommending modifications in the light of prototype or test results.
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished processes.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Designs tooling as necessary to support transducer fabrication.
Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians using sound principals and techniques.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
Contributes to Team Effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains a safe working environment by following safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in mechanical design with experience in CAD software, especially SolidWorks
Familiarity with CNC operations.
Strong understanding of schematics and technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
