Databricks Associate Forward Deployed Engineer - GPS

Overview In this role you will partner with client teams to rapidly prototype and deliver GenAI-enabled solutions. You will work within a Deloitte AI & Engineering context to drive measurable business impact from day one, balancing speed with quality. You’ll lead engagements, design AI-enabled workflows, and contribute reusable assets while mentoring teammates. The position offers cross-functional collaboration to shape enterprise AI platforms and solutions. ResponsibilitiesEmbed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutionsLead sessions with product owners, architects, and engineers to shape deliveryPrototype and deliver working AI solutions leveraging industry capabilitiesBuild AI-enabled solutions, agentic platforms, and workflows across enterprise AI platformsDevelop scalable engineering patterns, tool-use approaches, and human-in-the-loop controlsDeliver production-quality code with strong testing, CI/CD, logging, and documentationContribute reusable assets (code, prompt libraries, runbooks, reference implementations)Mentor newer team members and collaborate within an FDE pod Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fieldActive US government security clearance (minimum Secret level)2+ years in software engineering, data engineering, data science, or analytics engineering1+ years building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments1+ years of Databricks experience with data engineering, data science, and analytics features (Lakeflow Connect, Agent Bricks, Databricks Apps)1+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions1+ years building maintainable code and CI/CD DevOps in DatabricksAbility to travel ~50%Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipEffective written and verbal communicationStrong attention to detail and qualityRelationship building and professional demeanorDatabricks experience including Lakeflow Connect, Agent Bricks, Databricks AppsGenAI/LLM-powered solution developmentCI/CD, testing, logging, versioning, and documentation practices
