We look forward to having you join our team!We are seeking a dynamic and creative Fashion Design Assistant to join our design team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the development of new collections, translating concepts into compelling visual designs, and ensuring the seamless progression of products from initial sketches to final production.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the product lifecycle management process by organizing design files, tracking samples, and maintaining accurate records of design revisionsConduct research on current fashion trends, color theory, and retail merchandising strategies to inspire new collectionsCollaborate with the merchandising team to ensure designs align with market needs and brand identityAssist senior designers in creating mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe IllustratorParticipate in fittings, offering feedback on fit, fabric choices, and overall aesthetic to refine designs before productionQualifications0-3 years in the Fashion or Creative Industry.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is essentialKnowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing machine operationStrong understanding of fashion design principles, color theory, and illustration skillsFamiliarity with product lifecycle management systems used in fashion retail environmentsAbility to perform detailed research on fashion trends and incorporate them into design conceptsExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a creative teamJoin our fast-paced startup-like firm as the Fashion Design Assistant!
