About the Brand:BTB Los Angeles is a contemporary women’s fashion brand known for bold femininity, statement texture, and destination-inspired style. From standout dresses to elevated accessories, we create pieces that feel polished, confident, and compliment-worthy. We are looking for a Fashion Designer to join our team and help bring the next chapter of the brand to life.About the Role: This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for design, a deep understanding of the contemporary women’s market, and the ability to translate inspiration into product that feels both editorial and commercially relevant. We’re looking for a true designer with taste, creativity, and a strong point of view. Experience with accessories, hats, and shoes is strongly preferred, as these categories are an important part of the BTB Los Angeles assortment.Technical design and product development experience are also major pluses, especially for candidates who can support with tech packs, development comments, sample feedback, and production-ready details.Responsibilities: Design seasonal collections across women’s apparel, accessories, hats, and shoes in alignment with the BTB Los Angeles brand aestheticResearch trends, color, silhouette, fabric, materials, trims, and market opportunities to develop fresh and relevant product conceptsCreate sketches, design boards, and seasonal concepts that support the overall direction of the brandPartner with cross-functional teams on product development from concept through sampling, revisions, and final approvalSupport the development of cohesive assortments that balance brand identity, trend relevance, and business needsReview samples and provide feedback on fit, construction, materials, trims, proportions, and overall design executionEnsure designs align with the target customer, pricing strategy, production needs, and market positioningStay informed on the contemporary women’s fashion, accessories, footwear, and resortwear landscapeSupport with technical design and tech packs as needed, including garment specifications, product details, and development commentsQualifications: Previous experience in a fashion design role, preferably within a women’s contemporary fashion brandExperience designing or developing accessories, hats, shoes, or related lifestyle categories strongly preferredStrong portfolio demonstrating taste level, creative vision, and commercial design sensibilityExcellent understanding of the women’s contemporary customer and marketStrong sketching, concept development, and design presentation skillsAbility to interpret trends through a clear brand lens rather than chasing themExperience working cross-functionally with product development, production, and merchandising teamsStrong understanding of the product development process, including sampling, fit, construction, materials, trims, and vendor communicationStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially IllustratorTechnical design experience is a plus, including creating or supporting tech packs, garment specifications, and development commentsWhat We're Looking For: A designer with strong instincts, elevated taste, and a clear fashion point of viewSomeone who understands how to create product that feels exciting, wearable, and brand-rightA candidate with an eye for the full assortment, from dresses and ready-to-wear to the accessories, hats, and shoes that complete the lookSomeone who can think creatively while also understanding the realities of product development, production, pricing, and commercial needsA team player who is collaborative, detail-oriented, and excited to grow with a contemporary fashion brand
