Engineer, I, II or III - Design
The Engineer Design position for Southern Company Gas assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, critical thinker and able to make sound decisions.Natural Gas is an essential part of America's Energy mix and a trusted energy source for more than 70 million homes and businesses. People who demonstrate advanced skills in terms of work experience, education and certifications may be eligible for the advanced grade.As our Engineer in the design group, a typical day might include:Working on gas storage or gas fueling station assignmentsPerforming assignments involving the design of components or functionality of pipeline products Involved in the planning and design of mechanical equipment and components involving maintenance of mechanical equipment.
