Radiation Therapist Location: Wilmington, NC Agency: Concentric Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title Radiation Therapist Location Wilmington, NC Schedule / Job Type Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 5x8s (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, occasionally 9:00 AM–6:00 PM) or 4x10s depending on department needs (7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 8:00 AM–6:30 PM with 30-minute lunch) Key Responsibilities Deliver external beam radiation therapy treatments to patients across two clinical sites within the Wilmington coastal region, floating between locations as needed (approximately 25–30 minutes apart) Operate Varian linear accelerators (including Varian 21 ex/ix and TrueBeam) and perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging, IMRT, and beam modifying/positioning procedures Utilize CT and Siemens CT simulators for simulation of treatment sites; perform tumor localization and apply wedges, custom molds, and custom shields as required Document and chart patient treatments accurately using ARIA and other unit systems Collaborate with on-site physicians and nursing staff throughout the day; therapists are always paired with at least one other therapist and do not work alone Participate in storm/hurricane team assignments and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience required Active ARRT (T) certification required Current BLS certification required Active NC state license or valid Compact license required (pending licensure acceptable for submission) Proficiency with ARIA, Eclipse (Varian), and/or Pinnacle (Philips) treatment planning/record-and-verify systems Experience with Adult Acute Care, radiation safety, isolation precautions, and use of rapid response/code teams Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with CT Simulation, PET Scan, MRI, and iCT imaging modalities Familiarity with Varian TrueBeam and Siemens CT simulator platforms Prior travel therapy experience; first-time travelers are accepted Comfort with floating between multiple clinical sites within a regional area Why Join Us Work within a well-supported clinical environment where an MD and RN are always on-site, and therapists are never required to work alone No call requirement and no weekend requirement, with flexible shift options (5x8 or 4x10) based on department needs
