The incumbent is responsible for plans administration to ensure services are delivered timely and appropriately during the permitting process to both internal and external customers. Work is performed that affords independent judgment and technical evaluation under the general supervision of the Section Supervisor and/or the Division Associate Director or designee. The incumbent performs work diligently to complete tasks and duties as assigned. The incumbent will also be responsible for performing a variety of clerical and/or administrative duties relative to the processing of applications and issuance of various County permitsAnticipated Period of Performance:Start Date ASAPEnd Date: 6/30/2026Examples of WorkReceipt and Process Plans: Receives and process commercial and residential building plan submissions. Reviews each submittal package for completeness and accuracyQuality control - checks plans, applications and workflows, returning same as necessary. Coordinates the review process and provides assistance and guidance to applicantsRecords Management / Plans Log Out: Coordinates collation, stamping and release of approved plans to the Permits Office for issuance. Verifies that all disciplines have reviewed and appropriately recorded their approvals in both the automated and manual systems. Ensures in-house archiving of issued engineering plans in accordance with the approved records retention scheduleePlan (ProjectDox) Coordinator/Facilitator: Responsible for ensuring that the ePlan system is accessible, reliable and functional for internal and external usersCustomer Services: Responsible for handling inquiries from internal and external customers as they pertain to general plan review and permitting requirements.QualificationsGraduation from high school or GED, supplemented by college level courses in higher mathematics (algebra, trigonometry, geometry) and civil engineeringFour (4) years of para-professional engineering experienceAn equivalent combination of education and experience may also be acceptedPreferred Qualifications:Building/structural plan review experienceExperience with eplan, momentum or other electronic permitting and plan review softwareICC / NFPA building plan review and/or inspections experience, engineering or architectural bachelor's degreeJoin Our Team:At CMT Services, we believe that extraordinary results come from empowering exceptional people.
