Manager Materials Planning

Job DescriptionIn this role critical to our supply chain operations, the Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for managing and leading all production and material planning activities at out Exeter site. This responsibility includes creating the production and material schedules to meet corporate metrics that include on time delivery, capacity utilization, forecast accuracy, inventory days of supply and inventory turns targets. In addition, this leader will oversee and lead the planning team and coordinate with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure production schedule adherence, inventory optimization and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategic and tactical planning strategies that align with Frontgrade’s operational and business goalsManage, mentor and implement succession strategies for the planning teamEnsure production plan aligns with customer requirements and business prioritiesDevelop methods and standards to measure and monitor flow and control of material on the manufacturing floors (WIP management)Utilize and manage core metrics and Key Process Indicators to lead the planning and production control teams in order to ensure material supply meets production requirementsWork with the teams to capitalize on opportunities and issues such as what if scenarios, push outs and pull insDevelop and maintain comprehensive capacity models that include rough cut capacity and resource utilization planningImplement weekly cadence to monitor schedule attainment, review customer priorities, proactively escalate issues and monitor material shortagesParticipate in SIOP process working closely, and serving as a backup, with the Master Planners to ensure job orders/WIP is in line with minimal compressionEnsure ERP master data is optimized and updated to ensure data integrityQualificationsMinimum of 6 years' experience in planning, manufacturing, or operations management rolesStrong expertise with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, M2M, etc)Demonstrated experience in team leadership, resource allocation, and KPI developmentBachelor's Degree, Minimum four (4) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field. OR Master's Degree: Minimum two (2) years of experience in people management.
