Role Overview: The Action Cook is a valued Dining Services Residential Department member responsible for assisting in producing over 10,000 meals every week. Their primary duty is to create and facilitate high-quality, international-genre variety meals that are flavored, prepared, and displayed to the expected standards. Core Responsibilities: Culinary Support:  Under the guidance of the Executive Chef, the Action Cook prepares food items for the international menu station, following established recipes and maintaining food freshness, quality, and appeal. Kitchen Support: Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating. Maintain Cleanliness: Maintain production records and logs (food usage, overages, shortages, customer counts, etc.). Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation. Ensures that all sanitation guidelines, health codes set by local and state Health Departments, as well as OSHA, are being followed.
