Our nurses have an opportunity to make an immediate impact in our patient's lives. There is always something new to learn and experience! As a nurse on MPCU, you will experience rare diagnoses and innovative treatment.Nursing skills gained on this unit:Time management in a fast-paced environmentBasic ICU skillsChemotherapy certificationIV DripsStable tracheostomyVentilationUnit Successes/Designations:Multiple RNs with CertificationsEngaged in Healthy Work Environment Committee12-week orientation with preceptor matched to nurseUnit Culture Highlights:We pride ourselves in creating a healthy work environment by fostering education and providing a helping/learning atmosphereEach day is differentLeadership aims to elevate nurses and use their skills at their highest levelNever stop mentoring and always ask questionsQualificationsRequires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience.
