This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to create systems and processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial insight. The ideal candidate thrives in a start-up environment, is systems-oriented, and has experience integrating financial systems with operational technology such as point-of-sale (POS) systems.What You’ll Be DoingSet up the accounting infrastructure, including chart of accounts, journal entry processes, and reconciliations for a new business. Set up a payroll system, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Support the integration of accounting software with the park’s point-of-sale systems, ticketing, Commercial and other operational technologies. Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, manage month-end and year-end closings, and perform account reconciliations. Develop internal controls and accounting policies to ensure financial integrity and compliance. Produce accurate and timely financial statements and management reports. Support cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, to ensure smooth financial processes. Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and bank relationship management. What Makes You a Fit5–7 years of progressive accounting experience Proven experience establishing accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar). Strong understanding of payroll processing and compliance. Experience integrating systems with accounting software. Comfortable executing both strategic and transactional accounting tasks. Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks. Business partnering, communication and relationship-building outside of finance at all levels. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
