Mechanical Project Manager

As a Mechanical Project Manager at Lam + Tea Engineering, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing engineering projects from inception to completion. Your primary responsibilities will include managing client relationships, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will be a key driver in growing revenue from existing client projects and ensuring the highest standards of quality and professionalism.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.Coordinate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, deliverables, and timelines.Provide technical guidance and support, including stamping drawings as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.Foster a strong, collaborative relationship with clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for additional services and revenue growth.Lead project meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate project updates to clients and internal teams.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.Mentor and support junior engineers and project team members.Requirements:Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to stamp drawings.Proven experience in mechanical project management within the engineering industry.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent client management and relationship-building skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects with a "the puck stops with me" mentality.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow revenue from existing client projects.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP).Experience in business development or sales within the engineering industry.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A collaborative and dynamic work environment.The chance to work on exciting and challenging projects.
