Associate Technical Designer

We are looking for a positive, proactive technical designer to join our growing team in Charleston, SC! We are excited to have an experienced technical designer jump in and help support our current product lines. See below for the responsibilities and experience we are looking for.specific duties / responsibilities:Responsible for creating seasonal developmental tech packs (measurement page, construction page, bill of materials page)Develop new finishing details, silhouettes and construction methodsCreate and maintain consistent fit, construction and construction images of the productCollaborate with cross functional teams and vendors to ensure bulk production reflects design intent and brand requirementsSource fit models, manage fit sessions, fit on models, and relay fit notes/fit photos to stakeholdersTrack fit samples and update WIPS chartFollow the sample through fit approvals to production; ensure consistency in fit and establish master blocksReview all existing patterns and pattern cardsEnsure compliance to US safety regulations regarding measurements, trims, hazardous materials and lab testing specificationsBuilding a library of styling features and quality requirements and ensuring compliance across stylesskills & qualifications:Children's, women's and men's technical design experienceSwim experience (apparel experience a bonus as well!)Experience working with both domestic and overseas vendorsWell versed in reading patterns and understanding of how different fabrications translateFull understanding of grade rules and tolerancesExperienced in garment construction and quality requirementsClear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skillsStrong organization and time management skillsIllustrator skills are a mustBrowzwear and/or CLO3D a plus!5-8 years experienceperks:Hybrid role (3 days/week in our Charleston office)Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401KGenerous employee discount
