Technical Designer

Role OverviewThe Technical Designer is responsible for executing complex technical development for high-end swimwear and resort collections. This role owns fit, grading, construction logic, and technical documentation for new and complex styles.Core ResponsibilitiesTechnical DevelopmentCreate and maintain tech packs for new base and fancy stylesDevelop POMs, grading rules, and construction specsExecute complex OPR edits and post-testfit revisionsEnsure consistency across all colorways and production runsFit & EngineeringLead fit analysis during PP testfitsTroubleshoot fit, grading, and construction issuesCommunicate with Creative Director on technical design issues and questionsPartner with Creative Director, Patternmaker, PP Manager, and QC team on technical resolutionsAnalyze fabric behavior and apply appropriate technical solutionsSystems & DocumentationCreate and maintain products in PLM (Backbone)Ensure technical accuracy across specs, BOMs, and construction pagesSupport documentation of brand-specific technical standardsQualifications4+ years of technical design experience in high-end swimwear or lingerieStrong grading and fit expertise across multiple size rangesExperience with complex stretch fabricsProficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PLM systemsDetail-oriented, solutions-driven, and fast-pacedHigh Level understanding of Fashion Math and construction principlesAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
