Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor this person will be responsible for the mill setup and performance to the highest quality standards and efficiencies. The Mill Lead will have extensive knowledge in all areas of tube making and related secondary processes. This person must also have a safety-first mindset and leadership traits that align with our Core Values. A true sense of urgency and the will for continuous learning and improvement is vital.What You'll Do:Safely and effectively operate the mill and all supporting stations from entry to bundling tableLead and participate in mill changeovers, setup, and operationSafely and effectively operate and maintain process in cleaning and coatingsCommunicate with and direct mill crew to achieve target goals, as well as support departmentsTroubleshoot equipment, product quality, and bottleneck issuesFollow explicit customer specifications and ensure execution of such in the end productWhat You'll Bring:A safety conscious attitudeAt least three years experience in all facets of tube mill production at a very high levelExcellent communication skillsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferredWithin 3 months, you'll:Familiarize yourself with all new equipment and processesLead the mill team to ensure productivity demand is metCoordinate efforts with mill and maintenance managementLead production efforts in meeting customer needsWho We Are:Atkore is a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award!
