Commercial Sales Representative
Position OverviewOur client is seeking a driven and experienced Commercial Sales Representative to expand their presence across industrial, manufacturing, and distribution markets. This role will focus on driving sales of custom packaging solutions, building long-term client relationships, and positioning the company as a preferred partner for innovative and cost-effective packaging needs.The ideal candidate has a proven track record in B2B sales, strong business development skills, and the ability to navigate complex customer environments while delivering tailored solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesProspect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across manufacturing, industrial, retail, and distribution sectors.Manage and grow relationships with existing commercial customers and key accounts.Understand and communicate capabilities in custom corrugated, wood, foam, and integrated packaging solutions.Lead consultative sales engagements, including site visits, needs assessments, and packaging solution recommendations.Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to customer needs.Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to develop innovative, cost-effective packaging solutions and prototypes.Partner with operations to ensure solutions meet quality, performance, and delivery expectations.Track and report sales pipeline, forecasts, and opportunities within CRM systems.Stay current on industry trends, materials, and packaging innovations to provide value-added insights to customers.Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to build brand awareness and generate leads.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications3–7+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record in industrial, manufacturing, or technical product sales.Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Ability to engage effectively with operations leaders, engineers, procurement teams, and executives.Self-motivated, results-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills.Willingness to travel (20–40%) for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.Authorized to work in the U.S.Preferred QualificationsExperience selling custom packaging, materials, or related industrial solutions.Background working with manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain customers.Familiarity with consultative or solution-based sales methodologies.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
