Responsibilities:
Architect, design, prototype, develop, review, and unit test software for embedded devices.
Develop and deliver features by collaborating with product owners, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Work on next-generation embedded platforms and Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL).
Sustain and enhance existing Linux-based operating systems, including improvements and bug fixes.
Analyze, debug, and optimize system performance using advanced memory management, profiling, and multithreading techniques.
Debug and analyze HDMI bus communication protocols, including CEC, ARC/eARC, and HDCP.
Support internal and external display configurations across multiple devices and TV platforms.
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions.
Maintain and enhance build systems, including Makefiles, to ensure reliable and efficient builds.
Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices for high-quality, maintainable code.
Work closely with diverse, globally distributed engineering teams.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
8 - 13 years of experience in architecture, design, prototyping, software development, code review and unit testing for embedded devices.
High proficiency with modern C, C++, C++11/C++14 or C++17 preferred
Solid understanding of Inter-Process Communication (IPC) and Remote Procedure Calls (RPC).
Strong experience in Linux system programming.
Deep knowledge of HDMI, EDID structures, and CEC protocol specifications, including: AV InfoFramesARC / eARC
Experience with internal and external display handling across multi-device and TV configurations.
Strong debugging skills and experience with low-level protocol analysis.
Experience working in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments.
