OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Geophysicist , you will be responsible for leading a team and contributing to various carbon capture projects.Location: Remote (Occasional office visits in Aberdeen)Duration: 12 month renewable contractDay-to-dayCollaborating with team members to plan and execute geophysical projectsAnalysing and interpreting geophysical data to support carbon capture and CO2 injection initiativesLeading meetings and providing guidance to team membersReviewing and validating geophysical findingsStaying updated on industry trends and best practices in geophysicsResponsibilitiesLeading and managing geophysical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budgetUtilizing geophysical techniques to analyse data for carbon capture and CO2 injection projectsCollaborating with cross-functional teams to interpret seismic data and conduct exploration and appraisal activitiesContributing to EU project work and providing expertise in geophysical analysisProviding technical analysis and support for seismic interpretation and well tie projectsMentoring and guiding junior geophysicists in the teamQualificationsBachelor's or master’s degree in geophysics, geology, or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in geophysics, preferably with EU project experienceProven expertise in carbon capture, CO2 injection, seismic interpretation, well tie, and inversion workStrong leadership and project management skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesKnowledge of industry-standard geophysical software and tools
