Elementary Paraprofessional/Computer Lab

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor children in the classroom, lunch room, bathroom area, hallways, and during recess timeAssist a certified teacher with teaching as directedPrepare curriculum materials and activities for instructionImplementing small group instruction, including proper usage of programsHelp with maintaining a safe/clean classroomProvide students with content area intervention either one on one or in small group settings as directed by principal.Oversee the operation of the computer lab not limited to repairs, program installation, and daily maintenance.Assist with other classes as directed by supervisor and/or principal QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredClean background checkPass Paraprofessional Assessment at hire or have 60 college hoursParticipate in required Paraprofessional module trainings provided by ADE Physical requirements*Be able to stand a minimum of 80% of your scheduled shiftBe able to walk short distances to escort children between classrooms and activitiesBe able to lean, reach, bend, lift and squat to help children and co-workersBe able to walk on uneven surfaced (playground)Be able to walk up and down stairsBe outside in all weather conditions for assigned duty. This includes recess, before school drop offs and after school pick- ups. *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
