Student Worker - Teaching & Learning Center (starting Summer)
The Teaching and Learning Center student worker provides front-office and administrative support to ensure smooth daily office operations, assist students and visitors, and maintain essential office materials and services. Education & Experience Requirements Education required:Must be an enrolled JALC student, with a minimum of 6 hours in the fall and/or spring semestersMust maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA Other requirements:Must be familiar with and have experience with D2L Essential Functions & Position DutiesPerform general secretarial and administrative duties to support daily office operations.Answer phones, take messages, greet & direct guests, and provide general front-office coverage.Sort and distribute incoming mail and assist visitors, students, and staff with routine inquiries.Provide basic learning management system support to students.Maintain office materials and supplies, including refilling copy machines and keeping Scantron forms counted and available.Support a clean, organized, and professional office environment.Complete assigned and recurring tasks proactively with minimal supervision.MakerSpace assistance, to include:Review files, launch print jobs, and monitor 3D printing operations during open hours.Track material usage, maintain print records, and restock supplies to support daily operations.Perform basic 3D printer maintenance and help maintain an organized, functional makerspace.Report equipment, supply, and policy issues to the TLC office to help ensure smooth operations. Non-Essential Functions of the Position Other duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A. Logan College campus or designated location.
