In this role, you will own the preparation and compliance of all SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) while serving as the internal subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and PCAOB standards. Beyond recurring filings, you will lead technical research for complex transactions—such as business combinations and equity-based compensation—and play a vital role in M&A due diligence and integration. This is an essential position for a CPA who thrives on technical accuracy, process optimization, and strategic alignment within a publicly traded technology pioneer.What You'll Actually Do:Prepare and oversee quarterly and annual SEC filings, ensuring precise MD&A disclosures and footnotes, including XBRL/iXBRL tagging.Evaluate and document accounting conclusions for non-routine transactions like share-based payment modifications and new accounting standards.Provide critical accounting support for mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, purchase accounting, and opening balance sheet preparation.Partner with the VP of Finance to act as the primary point of contact for external auditors on all SEC and technical reporting matters.Oversee the accounting and disclosure for equity-based compensation, including stock options, RSUs, and PSUs.Maintain and optimize SOX-compliant internal controls and financial reporting systems to ensure airtight governance.Monitor emerging SEC developments and FASB updates to assess and implement their impact on the organization.To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; Active CPA is required.5+ years of progressive experience, with a heavy emphasis on public accounting (Big 4 or national firm highly preferred).Proven "hands-on" experience with SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and technical accounting memoranda.Strong background in M&A accounting, post-acquisition integration, and complex equity transactions.Exceptional ability to interpret authoritative guidance and clearly document complex accounting conclusions.A high degree of accuracy and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage strict deadlines in a fast-paced, publicly traded environment.Where and How Much:Target Compensation: $130K to $145K Hybrid Schedule (2 days remote), Centennial, CO401(k) with a 4% match100% company-paid Medical coverage for employees and their families + $500 FSA contributionGenerous PTO policy
