Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer with expertise in electrical design, MEP, and AutoCAD to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing and preparing engineering documents across various projects including office spaces, restaurants, medical facilities, and more. Responsibilities Use AutoCAD to design and prepare engineering documents, including mark-ups and production tasks for diverse projects. Compile electrical evaluation and cost estimate reports. Coordinate and design electric projects adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned. Support engineering work functions and conduct site visits and surveys. Communicate with architects, owners, and other stakeholders throughout the design phases. Manage construction administration by reviewing shop drawings and coordinating with contractors and design teams. Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments independently. Communicate effectively with clients both orally and in writing. Assist with proposals, marketing efforts, project reports, and technical presentations. Develop and complete applications, permits, engineering reports, and specifications. Attend and conduct client and project meetings. Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience as an electrical engineer with an MEP firm. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit. Ability to design electrical MEP projects with limited guidance. Strong report writing skills. Experience in coordinating with external engineering trades and clients. Knowledge of NEC codes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with power distribution and lighting design. Familiarity with NEC codes and MEP design principles. Work Environment Our office offers a small, collaborative environment where all employees contribute to running the business and are involved in financial decision‑making. We have a very hands‑on approach, encouraging learning and exposure to all project aspects. The work schedule is extremely flexible, requiring 40+ hours weekly, with no fixed working hours. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morristown, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.07 - $60.00/hr.
