Heat Relief Worker

Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma/GEDDemonstrate a positive attitude, with ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstancesAble to maintain a non-judgement attitude, professional approach and boundaries with clientsAble to handle crisis/emergency services for the homeless and to utilize crisis intervention, crowd management and conflict resolution skillsAbility to assess at risk participants and situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving recordSuccessful background clearanceRESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor activities of heat relief participants, keeping visual and continuous interaction with clients for problem solvingHandle check-in and check-out procedures of heat relief clientsUtilize proper record keeping, screening procedures, such as; sex offender registryConduct client baggage check, remove and store weapons, tools and cell phones, return the same upon exitSet up/Tear down Cooling Station equipment (Outside Signage) and stock/restock supplies usedEnsure compliance with program rules and expectations, maintaining a safe and manageable environmentAssist in distribution of resources; hygiene care kits, food boxes, snack bags, referrals, community resources and other donated goods.Direct clients to the smoking area for appropriate usage and cleanlinessClean area during usage, mopping spills, sanitizing all equipment, wiping tables - making sure to follow CDC guidelines to ensure safety of participants and staffTransport PFS Cooling Station resources between PFS Building, PFS Kitchen and DHQ WarehouseAssist with unloading products from donors and placement in warehouseAssist in general logistic activities and product rotation with Metro and PFS StaffInvestigate and report activity and incidents appropriately, or as needed to emergency responders, such as police, fire and/or ambulance personnel, according to established guidelinesProvide accurate and through written communication in the (IR) Incident Report Logbook for management and Support Workers reviewOther duties as assigned by supervisor as it relates to the position of Heat Relief WorkerPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
