As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and customs bonds with in-house claims solutions.We are seeking a full time Head of Sales to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division as a hybrid employee in one of our US office locations (Schaumburg, IL, New York, NY, Charleston, SC, Miami, FL, Houston, TX, Long Beach, CA) reporting to the CEO & President of Roanoke Insurance Group.Job ProfileRoanoke Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a dynamic, experienced sales leader who will be responsible for setting the sales strategy to increase revenue, profit and market share, developing talent, creating a high-performance culture and collaborating cross-functionallyCoach the Sales team, including setting goals, providing training and development working alongside Regional Vice Presidents.Management experience, setting priorities, and ensuring accountability for performance, quality and outcomes.Develop a high-performance culture, including setting expectations and accountability, fostering collaboration, and recognizing and rewarding exceptional performanceEnsure our team has the deepest understanding in the industry of our clients, their risks, and the market dynamicsCollaborate cross-functionally to deliver client feedback, develop and execute strategic plans, identify new growth opportunities, build new products, and allocate resourcesAnalyze data to determine cross-sell opportunitiesPartner with Marketing to maximize exposure and opportunitiesHelp close the most important and complex companies in our category, including working with the Sales team to develop and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure new business opportunitiesAct as the representative lead for selected national accounts as defined by Senior Leadership.Participate in local and national industry functions to represent Roanoke's interestsAttend client visits where neededCollaborate and work closely with the data analytic team to further develop sales tracking toolsJob Requirements10+ years of experience in sales and sales leadership roles10+ years of management experienceA passion for change, growth and clients we serveProven track record driving strategic solutions and exceeding sales targetsHighly motivated and quick learnerA strong understanding of the logistics and customs broker industryStrong leadership skills with a focus on developing talent and building high-performance cultures.Posses strong negotiation skillsPresent where needed at industry functionsStrategic think with experience developing and exceeding sales strategies.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organizationExperience driving process improvement and launching new initiativesValid producer license in domicile stateIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office productsRequired travel up to 50%MRSGNA is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Schaumburg, IL. The salary range posted below applies to the Company's Schaumburg, IL location. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $180,000 to $250,000, plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Schaumburg, IL. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.
