D&D prides itself on professional service, a strong work ethic, and exceptional customer satisfaction.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Structural Steel Estimator role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Structural Steel Estimator will be responsible for evaluating construction project requirements, reviewing project plans and specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates, and identifying materials, labor, and resources needed for structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to prepare competitive bids and ensure compliance with project requirements is a key aspect of this role. The Estimator will also develop relationships with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and assess project feasibility and timelines.QualificationsExpertise in blueprint reading, material take-offs, and creating accurate construction estimatesProficiency with estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes, AISC standards, and OSHA safety guidelinesExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members to ensure project requirements are metExperience working in the structural steel and fabrication industry, including familiarity with various materials like steel and aluminumMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural steel estimating or a related roleAssociate's or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferredAbility to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL or Fort Peirce, FL
