Job Description:Associate Director of Nursing Program - Leadership Role in Nursing EducationWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Nursing to join our team and help lead our nursing program to new heights. The Associate Director will work closely with the Director to oversee all aspects of our nursing program, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain the highest standards of nursing education.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Director in planning, developing, managing, and evaluating all nursing program components and curriculumPrepare comprehensive data and written materials for state Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) reports, accreditation proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visitsIdentify and secure external funding sources and resources to support nursing program growth and innovationEvaluate clinical agencies and healthcare facilities to ensure alignment with nursing course objectives and student learning outcomesOversee completion and approval of Facility Approval Applications prior to initiating clinical rotationsMonitor and ensure timely completion of student theory and clinical evaluations by nursing facultyMaintain comprehensive evaluation records from students, clinical sites, and faculty following each clinical rotationSupport strategic planning initiatives and assessment of instructional programs and teaching methodologiesDrive continuous quality improvement in nursing education and instructional deliveryCoordinate timely completion of clinical assignments, rotation matrices, and academic calendarsEnsure faculty compliance with policies and procedures for student clinical experiencesConduct regular reviews of student learning materials and educational resourcesMaintain student records in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory requirementsSubmit required program reports and documentation to the Director within established timelinesStay current with emerging healthcare technologies, nursing education trends, and patient safety regulationsProvide academic advising and program planning support to prospective and current nursing studentsVerify students meet all graduation requirements and state nursing licensure examination (NCLEX) eligibility criteriaTeach nursing theory or clinical courses for approximately 50% of work timePerform additional duties as assigned to support program excellenceRequired QualificationsMaster's degree or higher from an accredited institution with coursework in nursing, nursing education, or healthcare administrationMinimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a nursing education programAt least 3 years of full-time nursing faculty experience in pre-licensure or post-licensure nursing programsMinimum of 1 year teaching experience in online learning environments and distance educationAt least 4 years of continuous full-time RN direct patient care experience in one or more of the following specialty areas within the last 5 years: geriatrics, medical-surgical nursing, mental health/psychiatric nursing, obstetrics, or pediatricsCurrent, active, and unrestricted California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) licenseExcellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skillsAction-oriented mindset with demonstrated innovation and adaptability in educational settingsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systemsStrong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlinesCompensation and BenefitsAnnual Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 USD, commensurate with experience and qualificationsWhy This Is a Great OpportunityJoin us in shaping the future of nursing education and workforce development while making a significant impact on your community and beyond.
