Technician Trainee This entry-level technician trainee role offers the opportunity to learn and grow as a maintenance technician within an automotive manufacturing environment. You will support experienced technicians, work hands-on with manufacturing equipment, and develop strong mechanical skills while contributing to safe and efficient plant operations. Responsibilities Assist experienced maintenance technicians with daily tasks in an automotive manufacturing plant. Support the inspection, troubleshooting, and basic repair of manufacturing machines and conveyor systems. Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform routine maintenance activities. Help perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Follow established maintenance procedures and safety guidelines at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the maintenance and production spaces. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors regarding equipment status and issues. Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and strong motivation to learn and take on new tasks. Participate in onsite interviews, onboarding, and training sessions as required. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in learning industrial and automotive manufacturing maintenance. Ability to work with hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Basic understanding of mechanical systems such as manufacturing machines and conveyors. Motivation to learn and develop as an entry-level maintenance technician. Good attendance and reliability, with a commitment to being on time and present for all scheduled shifts. Strong soft skills, including clear communication, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Willingness to work inside a manufacturing plant environment. Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and standard operating practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous exposure to facilities or industrial maintenance, even at a basic or informal level, is helpful. Experience using both hand and power tools in a work or hobby setting is an advantage. Interest in automotive manufacturing and industrial equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellabell, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
