Job DetailsSalary: $75,000 to $85,000 per year Job Type: Full-Time Location: Initial work location in Canton, MI with plans to relocate to Ann Arbor, MI Position SummaryThe Compliance Specialist supports the Compliance Officer in ensuring that the dealership meets all regulatory requirements and corporate compliance standards. You will assist in the implementation and monitoring of policies, conduct audits, review documentation, and provide training to staff. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of automotive finance regulations, and the ability to travel to dealership locations as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with implementing and enforcing dealership compliance policies and procedures. Conduct compliance audits and inspections across multiple dealership locations. Review transactions and documentation to ensure regulatory adherence. Provide training and support to dealership staff on compliance matters. Monitor policy adherence and report findings to senior management. Help draft compliance reports and recommend improvements. Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations affecting dealership operations. Support investigations into compliance violations and assist with corrective actions. Collaborate with sales, finance, and service departments to maintain compliance. Work EnvironmentThis is a professional office setting with travel required to various dealership locations. Job Requirements: QualificationsMinimum of 5 years experience in automotive compliance, dealership operations, or a related field. Strong knowledge of automotive finance regulations, FTC guidelines, Red Flags Rule, OFAC compliance, and dealership policies. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Effective communication and training abilities. Capability to work independently and as part of a team. Sound judgment when handling sensitive information. Experience with dealership management software (DMS), compliance tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel to multiple dealership locations as required.
