🏥 What We DoAt Vitalize, we are building the OS for hospital operations, starting with staffing & scheduling optimization.Currently, hospitals’ core processes to manage and optimize labor live on paper, spreadsheets, or through departments of 20+ FTEs. Vitalizes’s technology transforms these processes from painstakingly tedious to autonomous, freeing up thousands of hours and reducing labor costs by 8-figures.In less than 6 months, Vitalize has reached 7-figures in ARR and is backed by top investors, including Y Combinator and top health systems.🪓 About the roleWe're hiring for a full-stack engineer to work closely with co-founders and early customers to ship product and iterate fast.In this role, you have the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership over features that with every customer launch will touch thousands of users across the enterprise, and ultimately help health systems operate more efficiently and deliver better patient care.🧭 ResponsibilitiesWork directly with co-founders to ship features and meet ambitious customer goalsTalk to customers and end-users to iterate on product features based on feedback (occasionally visit on-site!)Shape the engineering culture and the product roadmap🧐 Technical Challenges Vitalize Intelligence: A real-time, event-driven engine that integrates and reconciles messy, high-latency data across EHRs, HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll systems — creating a dynamic digital twin of hospital operations. Predictive Modeling: Forecasting future patient volume and staffing needs using AI/ML models trained on historical census trends, patient throughput, and real-time movement across departments (e.g., ED → ICU). Optimization & Recommendations Engine: A real-time decision layer that recommends optimal staffing actions based on dozens of dynamic factors: cost, acuity, patient safety, skill mix, sick calls, fairness, and more. Autonomous Scheduling: A first-of-its-kind prompt-based scheduling system that automates manual workflows for charge nurses and staffing coordinators. This is “Copilot for Nurse Scheduling.”🥇 SkillsNice-to-have: TypeScript, React, PostgresOur stack: Vite, tRPC, Effect, Drizzle, Supabase. We’re also exploring sync engines to build a local-first experience like Linear or Superhuman.🙌 BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401k and 401k matchUnlimited PTOBi-annual company retreatsFree Lunch and Dinner in-officeRelocation Bonus ($5000)Reimbursement for desk setup, gym subscription, and commute
