District Mission Statement:To inspire lifelong learners who are self-sufficient and ethical citizens.REPORTS TO: Director of Activities and Building PrincipalREQUIRED PERFORMANCE AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for recruiting and training students for robotics competitions.Monitoring and assisting students with the design and building of a robot to compete at the local, regional and state events.Attend and supervise students during competitions.Act as project coordinator for the build/competition season.Communicate with students/families about all team activities.Keep student well-being front and center.Expose students to new technologies, skills, and knowledge to increase their interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.Create opportunities for students to take on leadership roles on the team.Help students improve their problem-solving skills.Attend to the administration of the team (register for events, etc.).Keep track of a budget and submit expenses.SALARY: 4.0% of base teacher salary schedule to be established by the Board of Education.
