You will partner directly with field operations and engineering teams, translating real-time activity into meaningful financial insights. With visibility across forecasting, accounting, and project performance, this position provides a strong foundation for growth within construction finance and business operations.OverviewWe are seeking a Business Manager to support day-to-day business and financial operations for an active construction program. This onsite role partners closely with field operations, engineering, and corporate finance to ensure accurate forecasting, disciplined project accounting, and strong financial governance across the program.This position will work on-site in Boulder, Colorado.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain project-level budgets and forecasts aligned to field schedules and construction milestonesSupport monthly accounting close activities, including accruals, work-in-progress (WIP), variance analysis, and management reportingOversee day-to-day coordination of accounts payable and accounts receivable for assigned workstreamsMonitor project financial performance and identify cost, cash flow, and profitability driversValidate revenue recognition, customer billing, and payment collection in accordance with contractual termsTrack material planning and customer order logistics, connecting procurement impacts to schedule and cash flowPartner cross-functionally with construction crews, field managers, engineering, and finance teams to ensure operational and financial alignmentAssist with contract, subcontract, and change order administration and maintain clean project accounting recordsPrepare ad hoc analysis on unit costs, productivity, and spend to support field decision-makingSupport risk identification, dispute visibility, and insurance claim documentation as neededAll other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration1–3 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, or construction/business operationsHands-on exposure to project accounting, AP, and AR with high-dollar transactionsStrong Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and lookupsAbility to read and understand contractual business and financial requirementsStrong communication skills and comfort working directly with field teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience in construction accounting or project-based environmentsExposure to ERP systems (e.g., D365 or similar)Experience supporting large-scale or multi-state programsPower BI or similar reporting tools experienceWork Environment / Additional InformationOn-site role - can be based in Boulder or Denver, COCompensation and BenefitsTarget annual salary range: $95,000 – $115,000Final compensation will be based on experience and qualificationsEEO / Disclaimer (USA)The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the incumbent(s) of this job.
