2nd Shift CNC Operator

Brief DescriptionPositions available second shift. Previous CNC experience preferred.Perform advanced set up, operation, and monitoring of production in a work center and participate in the continuous improvement process to address safety, production, and quality improvements. Additional tasks consist of assisting with material flow (loading, unloading, lifting, and moving material), and provide guidance to all support personal as required (laborers, material handlers, packers, etc.).Set up and maintain manufacturing equipmentOperate equipment to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move productConduct in-process quality checks and resolve issues as requiredAssist with equipment maintenance activitiesMaintain and monitor machine to ensure it functions properlyDevelop in-depth understanding of how assigned equipment functionsOperate forklift as required to support manufacturingInterpret production work orders and record / report production data including scrapMaintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized mannerCount, record, and report inventory as required including but not limited to sheet, coil and accessory stock, shop supplies, skids, cores, etc.Spin down pre-slit coil stock and complete appropriate packaging per specs of each orderLoad and unload will-call customers, LTL vans and flatbed trucks with forklift (includes palleted coils & sheets, load customer equipment and maintain / log all shipments) as requiredAble to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization, including working overtime as requiredComply with all safety rules and regulationsOther duties as assignedRequirementsEducationA high school diploma or GED preferred; trade school or military experience a plusExperience & SkillsForklift experience preferredMust be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 poundsRequires solid written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated mechanical aptitude including basic troubleshooting skillsStrong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills requiredExcellent math skills and overall PC literacy are requiredMust be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-taskTeam oriented with effective communication skills preferredMust successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verifySelf-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervisionDetail oriented with the ability to inspect material for quality conformance using measuring devices and drawingsSummaryAt Mazzella, we're more than just a company – we're a family.
