For the latest updates on Aurora, visit aurora.tech. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Los Altos, CA, for an Entry Level Security Software Engineer. The Security Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security measures for software applications. Day-to-day tasks include coding, testing, debugging, and collaborating with other team members to ensure the security of software systems. Additional responsibilities include monitoring security threats and conducting vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security issues. Qualifications Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or PythonUnderstanding of software development life cycle and secure coding practicesExperience with vulnerability assessment and threat modelingKnowledge of network security, encryption, and security protocolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related fieldAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentFamiliarity with self-driving technology and automotive industry is a plus
