Job#: 3035810Job Description:Application Architect III – DevOps & Enterprise PlatformsLocation: Addison, Texas (On-site)Employment Type: 12 Months ContractRole OverviewWe are seeking an Application Architect to join our Developer Experience (DevEx) team. This role is responsible for the solution design of common enterprise technical services, platforms, and tools used by delivery teams across the business. The ideal candidate will work independently within a team environment, taking ownership of project meetings, requirements gathering, design, and development while partnering with a matrix of nearshore and offshore teammates.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the solution design of common services, platforms, and tools within the portfolio.Improve the developer experience by making it easier to deliver solutions and manage work efficiently.Advance technology platforms through innovation and reduce risk by aligning to a single enterprise architecture strategy.Design and develop solutions with a strong working knowledge of DevOps, PowerShell, databases, .NET, or Java/J2EE.Perform hands-on proof-of-concept work to assess the applicability and impact of new technologies and patterns.Provide clear, concise technical guidance to delivery partners, including developers and engineers.Communicate status updates to program management, such as product owners and scrum masters.Ensure excellent software design, build, test, and documentation standards are met.Required QualificationsBroad experience designing solutions across varied software development platforms, including Linux, Windows, Java, .Net, Python, and JavaScript.Technical expertise with DevOps automation and enablement technologies such as Jenkins, Ansible/Tower, Jira, Git/Bitbucket, Artifactory, SonarQube, GitHub, and Harness.Experience with the design or development of complex, integrated, high-volume applications for resiliency and performance.Knowledge of security aspects for integrated system design, including AAA, token-based authentication (oAuth/oIDC), and encryption.Strong, independent leadership skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.Process expertise across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).Ability to communicate effectively across technical, business, and leadership areas.Preferred QualificationsProduction-level experience with microservices/SOA enabling tools, such as API Management, Kubernetes/Docker, and service gateways/meshes.Experience with agile methodologies, routines, and tools.Technical experience with web application UI frameworks like Angular or React.This employer is an equal opportunity employer.
