Bar Manager, ClubThe Food and Beverage Manager oversees all service aspects of Old Edwards Club including set-up and preparation of the dining room and bar and its daily operations.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Operations Manager with training and coaching of staff members on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis.Create concepts and department innovation, while focusing on detail, quality, and customer serviceConsistently check of Food and Beverage quality, restaurant services and plate presentationLiaise on an on-going basis with Restaurant Manager to ensure all Members and Guests needs and requirements will be metProvide quick service for last minute changesHandling guest issues & requestsQualificationsKnowledge of food and beverage operations and preparation is requiredA degree in hospitality or business management is preferredPrevious supervisory experience is desiredExcellent communication and guest relation skills in EnglishThe ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environmentMust be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations including the ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory resultsMust be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and guestsAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidaysEssential duties require long periods of standing and walking as well as frequent reaching and kneeling, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, and moving objects 50 lbs. or moreDuties are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, with events often taking place in the elements in all four seasons
