Web/UI DeveloperThe Web/UI Developer will support the Air and Marine Operations Center (AMOC) by designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining web-based user interfaces and visualization tools for mission-critical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems, including AMOSS, WebAMOSS, ISR Systems, and associated analytics platforms.This role directly supports real-time air and maritime domain awareness operations used to detect, track, and interdict illicit activity affecting U.S. borders and national security.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain Web-based user interfaces for AMOC C4I systems, including WebAMOSSDevelop responsive and intuitive UI components for:Real-time surveillance displaysData visualization and mapping interfacesData mining and analytics toolsEnhance user interfaces using OpenLayers, JavaScript, Apache, and related web technologiesIntegrate web interfaces with backend C4I services and data sources, including radar, flight plan, and sensor dataSupport modernization efforts to achieve feature parity between WebAMOSS and the full AMOSS clientCollaborate with Systems Engineers, Database Administrators, Data Scientists, and C4I Engineers to translate mission requirements into technical solutionsSupport configuration management and change control processes (Change Requests)Develop and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and interface design artifactsParticipate in system testing, integration, and acceptance activities in accordance with DHS and CBP security requirementsEnsure UI designs meet DHS/CBP enterprise architecture, security, and accessibility requirements (Section 508 National Security Exception applies)Provide operational support during deployments, upgrades, and mission-critical eventsQualificationsRequired ExperienceU.S. CitizenSecret Clearance RequiredBachelor's degree and 5-7 years of related work experienceMinimum 2 years' experience demonstrating:Effective communication with diverse technical and operational teamsAbility to work in high-tempo, mission-critical environmentsAbility to follow detailed technical procedures and documentation5+ years of experience in Web application development OR10+ years of combined software development and UI design experiencePreferred ExperienceExperience supporting C4I, ISR, or mission command systemsExperience with:Linux-based environmentsElasticsearch-based query and visualization toolsGeospatial data and real-time data streamsFamiliarity with Agile development and configuration management processesExperience supporting government or DHS/DoW systemsAbility to read and understand system architecture diagrams and data flow drawingsPay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $93,900.00/Yr. - USD $156,800.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
