Employee Lifecycle Business Partner
The Employee Lifecycle Business Partner serves as the central coordination point between Human Resources, Recruiting, IT, Payroll, and other internal departments to ensure employees are fully prepared for Day One and all lifecycle transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The position requires hands-on system expertise, strong process ownership, and the ability to independently drive transactions across all systems. This role owns the full onboarding lifecycle from offer acceptance through Day One readiness, including all onboarding functions and coordination with cross-functional departments to ensure employees are fully cleared, equipped, and ready to begin work. In addition, the Employee Lifecycle Business Partner supports employee offboarding activities by coordinating administrative separation processes and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders. This role also supports the administration of required onboarding and compliance training by coordinating training assignments, tracking completion, and maintaining related records in partnership with the Training and Development function.Essential Functions:Onboarding ResponsibilitiesGuide new hires through the full onboarding lifecycle from offer acceptance through Day One, ensuring a welcoming and seamless experienceInitiate, track, and complete all onboarding activities accurately and on timeEnsure all required systems and access are provisioned prior to start dateCoordinate onboarding workflows across HR, Payroll, IT, Security, Compliance, Benefits, and hiring managersHold cross-functional teams accountable for timely completion of onboarding tasks and Day One readinessEnsure all pre-employment requirements are completed in compliance with applicable regulationsMonitor onboarding progress and proactively resolve delays or issuesMaintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready onboarding recordsServe as the primary point of contact for new hires, providing guidance and support throughout onboardingAct as the central point of contact for hiring managers and stakeholders, ensuring consistency and accountabilityDrive Day One readiness, including system access, equipment, orientation, and required documentationOffboarding ResponsibilitiesCoordinate administrative offboarding activities, including preparation and delivery of separation documentationNotify internal stakeholders (Payroll, IT, Security, Benefits, etc.) to ensure timely processing of separationsEnsure all separation documentation is accurate and compliant with company policies and recordkeeping requirementsMaintain and track offboarding records within HR systemsTraining Administration SupportSupport Training & Development through coordination of employee training programsAssign and track onboarding and required training within the Learning Management System (LMS)Maintain accurate training records, data entry, and reportingGenerate and distribute training reports for compliance and leadership visibilityPartner with Training & Development to ensure enrollment in required onboarding and role-based trainingTrack training schedules, monitor completion deadlines, and follow up as neededRequired Qualifications:7+ years of experience in Human Resources, onboarding, administration, or a related field OR equivalent HR education/trainingPreferred Qualifications:Experience in onboarding, HR operations, or employee lifecycle administrationExperience in a government contracting (GovCon) environmentFamiliarity with UKG, Deltek Costpoint, or other HRIS systemsSkills & Abilities:Attention to Detail: Produces accurate, error-free documentation and ensures compliance requirements are metOrganization: Effectively manages multiple onboarding workflows, deadlines, and recordsCross-Functional Coordination: Collaborates across departments to ensure full onboarding readinessCommunication: Provides clear, professional guidance and follow-up to stakeholders and new hiresProblem Solving: Identifies risks and resolves onboarding issues proactivelySystems & Data Management: Maintains accuracy within HRIS and onboarding platformsTime Management: Prioritizes tasks based on urgency, compliance, and start datesCustomer Service Mindset: Creates a welcoming, people-focused onboarding experienceOwnership & Accountability: Ensures all onboarding tasks are completed end-to-endTechnical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) for tracking, reporting, and communicationWork Environment:Primarily remote with in-office requirements based on business needs.
