NodeJS Developer
Job Title: Node.js DeveloperLocation: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)Job Type: Longterm ContractPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Node.js frameworks, asynchronous programming, and database integration, and is comfortable working in an Agile environment collaborating with cross-functional teams.What You'll DoDesign, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and related frameworks.Build and maintain RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services for internal and external consumption.Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.Integrate with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, optimizing queries and data models for performance.Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices across services.Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery.Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to performance tuning.Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.What You Bring4+ years of hands-on experience as a Node.js Developer.Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await, Event Loop).Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.Experience working with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.Familiarity with ORMs/ODMs like Sequelize, TypeORM, Prisma, or Mongoose.Experience building and consuming REST APIs; GraphQL experience a plus.Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker).Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred.Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.Nice-to-HavesExperience with microservices architecture.Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, BullMQ).Experience with WebSockets/real-time applications (Socket.io).Exposure to Kubernetes or serverless deployments (AWS Lambda).
