Technical Support Coordinator - Elevator Trade
Position Description:
Essential Functions:
Assists Quality Assurance Manager with the following:
Help New Construction/ MOD field technicians to resolve technical problems associated with a product or installation process
Serve as a primary and dependable contact for any field technical difficulty
Communicate with field personnel and our engineering department via telephone, virtual meeting, video call, or face-to-face interaction to provide step-by-step solutions effective in resolving problems
Conduct research to obtain valuable information in addressing, solving and preventing the recurrence of problems (field report & deficiencies report process)
Coordinate ordering and tracking deliveries of parts and components as needed
Improve an already established database to document every case to provide valuable information to improve the engineering- manufacturing and installation process
Qualifications:
CET / OSHA 30
Minimum 5 years in the trade with elevator license
Successful completion of QEI and VTMP are preferred
Proficient with all aspects of new construction and special applications installation, modernization and adjusting processes
Valid / good driving record
Acceptable physical condition – able to lift, climb, bend, reach, walk, stand, stoop coupled with fine manipulation – as needed
Able to travel as needed for training and/or to provide technical support
Skills & Abilities:
Mechanical aptitude
Able to evaluate current processes and implement areas of improvement to ensure accuracy
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written with all levels
Professional representation of Delaware Elevator always
Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and work as a team member
