nstallation Technician
Role OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and motivated Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional installation, service, and maintenance of integrated fire and security systems, including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and fire alarms. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals with technical aptitude and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, program, test, and troubleshoot a wide range of low voltage systems, including fire alarms, intrusion alarms, CCTV surveillance, and access control systemsPull, route, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling in accordance with blueprints and installation standardsPerform inspections and complete annual fire alarm certification tests per NFPA and local codesMaintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system configurationsCollaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades on new construction and retrofit projectsEnsure compliance with all applicable codes, safety regulations, and company policiesProvide exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally on-sitePerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor QualificationsMinimum 1 year of hands-on experience installing or servicing fire alarm or security systems (additional experience preferred)High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics or low-voltage systems a plusWorking knowledge of fire alarm codes (NFPA 72), basic networking, and low-voltage system principlesFamiliarity with tools and materials used in the low-voltage industryValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningComfortable working on construction sites and adhering to job site safety protocolsSelf-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindsetWillingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, evolving technical environment Work Requirements Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed to meet business demands. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support time-sensitive procurement activities or vendor engagements.Ability to work with hand tools, meters, and other necessary industry-related equipmentAbility to climb ladders and operate liftsAbility to lift weights up to 50 poundsAll duties must be performed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.Salary: $18-$35/hr, based on experienceEEOC Statement
