TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Bismarck, North Dakota, 58501!About The PositionJob Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery (LDRP RN 6085 type: L&D) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-Hour Night Shifts - 3x12s from 7 PM to 7 AM, including every other weekend and holidays as needed **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years in LDRP **License:** Active RN License **Certifications:** AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS, STABLE Certification, with AWHONN Advanced preferred **Must-Have:** - Ability to titrate drips - Read telemetry in Phase 1 recovery for C-section - Experience with obstetric, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum care - Willingness to float to various units as needed **Job Description:** - Work within a unit featuring 7 Labor & Delivery beds, 12 Postpartum beds, and 8 Surgical beds. - Manage 1 C-section dedicated OR and 2 GYN surgical ORs. - Handle triage in a 3-bay area with an average of 17 patients per month. - Follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios (L&D: 1:1-2, Postpartum: 1:2-3 couplets, 1:3-4 surgical/medical). - Provide care for common diagnoses such as pre-eclampsia, gestational hypertension, and gestational diabetes. - Administer medications including pitocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, procardia, labetolol, TXA, methergine, hemabate, cytotec, and cervidil. - Participate in department operations, including scrubbing in for procedures and assisting with APGAR scoring during deliveries. - Operate within a team-oriented environment with OB scrub techs, unit clerks, nursing students, and on-call OB/Neonatologist support. - Implement and read Telemetry/Electronic Fetal Monitoring using GE/Corometrics systems. - Flexibility to assist in Pediatrics, NICU, and other Med/Surg settings as needed.
