BITCO Corporation is currently seeking a Claims Intern to join our Home Office team in Davenport, IA for Summer 2026. With 11 branch offices in 10 states, BITCO provides quality insurance services to special industries including construction, energy, and forest products.About The ProgramBITCO's summer internship program is designed to provide educational and professional opportunities to students pursuing careers in commercial insurance or business-related fields. Interns will be assigned a variety of work that will help them develop the skills needed to succeed in their career. Interns focus on developing the skills necessary for success by working with and assisting professionals with day-to-day job assignments and special projects.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist business units with work assigned to them. This includes, but is not limited to, project work and coverage of day-to-day activities within the department or business unit.Perform duties of entry-level insurance professionalsConduct research and/or other work for projects assignedPerform department administrative and support duties as neededCreate, review, and/or analyze department reports and dataParticipate in initiatives to improve workflows and processesReview and update department procedures as neededActively participate in summer internship program events, such as lunch and learns, training, and networkingDevelop business knowledge and acumen through interactions and shadowing with other professionalsAttend regular department or business unit meetingsComplete required trainingCreate and deliver presentationsOther tasks and projects as assignedQualificationsMust be working toward a Risk Management, Insurance, or Business focused degreeStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, with the proven desire to learn and gain experienceAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentAbility to follow instruction and follow through on tasksTime management skills, with ability to work on multiple projects and rotate through departments or projects as assignedProficient in Microsoft Office and other computer programsMust be dependable and available to work for the duration of the internship program
