Long-Term Care Regional Nurse SupervisorJob Summary: The Long-Term Care Regional Nurse Supervisor is a leadership position responsible for overseeing and coordinating nursing operations within a designated region of long-term care facilities. The role involves providing clinical guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a high standard of patient care.Key Responsibilities: Clinical Oversight:Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff in multiple long-term care facilities within the designated region.Conduct regular clinical assessments to ensure compliance with established standards of care and regulatory requirements.Staff Training and Development:Develop and implement training programs for nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and ensure adherence to best practices.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing personnel.Quality Assurance:Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care and clinical outcomes in each facility.Implement quality improvement initiatives and best practices to enhance patient care.Regulatory Compliance:Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations related to long-term care.Ensure that nursing practices within the region comply with all applicable laws and regulations.Collaboration with Facility Leadership:Work closely with facility administrators, directors of nursing, and other leadership personnel to address clinical and operational challenges.Collaborate on the development and implementation of policies and procedures.Resource Allocation:Assist in the allocation of resources, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies, to meet the needs of each facility.Identify opportunities for resource optimization and cost-effective practices.Education and Training Programs:Facilitate ongoing education and training programs for nursing staff to ensure compliance with industry standards and promote continuous professional development.Risk Management:Identify and address potential risks within nursing practices and patient care.Collaborate with risk management teams to implement strategies for mitigating risks.Qualifications:Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license.Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in long-term care.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for long-term care facilities.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
