Join our team and grow your career in a hospital where everyday excellence meets or exceeds expectations.Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU provides comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care UnitThe RN monitors hemodynamic status, administers medications, performs assessments, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary care teamThe RN ensures optimal patient outcomes through adherence to clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and effective communication with patients and familiesEssential FunctionsProvides direct and indirect patient care in a critical care setting, including hemodynamic monitoring and management of critically ill patientsAdministers medications, monitors for side effects, and responds to adverse eventsPerforms comprehensive assessments, including head-to-toe assessments, pain assessments, and reassessmentsDevelops and implements individualized care plans based on patient condition and response to treatmentCollaborates with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient careEducates patients and families on treatment plans, medication regimens, and discharge instructionsParticipates in emergency response and crisis management, including code blue and rapid response situationsAssists in invasive procedures, including central line insertions and arterial line placementsAdheres to infection control protocols and maintains a safe environment for patients and staffDocuments patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/ExpectationsAdvanced clinical knowledge in critical care nursing and emergency responseStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectivelyProficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and medical equipment operationDemonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to patient-centered careAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform extended periods of standing, walking, and physical activityQualificationsEducationAssociate Degree in Nursing (ADN) requiredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferredLicense/CertificationCurrent RN license in the state of practice or compact state requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification within timeframe specified by facility policyAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification within timeframe specified by facility policyPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification preferredDe-escalation Training requiredExperienceMinimum of six (6) months of experience in an acute care setting preferredApply NowShare This JobFacebookLinkedInEmailExplore This LocationClick Here
