Stackoff Associate Second Shift
Job Summary
The Stackoff Associate assists in moving finished product using a pallet jack or forklift from the processing line to shipping area, cleans and sanitizes docks and operates equipment to get product ready to ship.
Job Responsibilities
Remove cases of processed poultry from conveyor system that weigh up to 50 lbs and stack and/ or transport product to trucks, to pallets by code in staging area or to blast area for chilling using a pallet jack or forklift
Segregate product codes and orders, combining orders to create full pallets for shipping
Operate automatic pallet wrappers to stabilize product for transport
Operate radio frequency (RF) scanner to palletize product for pallets
Clean and sanitize shipping dock and loading area daily
Wear mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) in areas where required
Perform other related duties as directed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to use forklift and pallet jack safely
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail.
Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other employees and vendors.
Ability to work non-standard shifts (extended, weekend, and/or holidays) as needed tp meet business requirements
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload.
Education
The position prefers a High School Diploma/ Equivalent but not required
Experience
The position prefers forklift, pallet jack or warehousing experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Processing plant
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of injury in a processing environment. Duties include operation of forklift/ pallet jack and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in a noisy, cold, wet and humid environment where sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, twisting and kneeling are required.
