This role partners closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, lead sourcing activities, manage suppliers, and provide subject‑matter expertise across assigned categories. The Associate Manager ensures effective strategy alignment, operational excellence, and proactive value creation across the procurement lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesCategory Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and execute short‑ and long‑term category strategies aligned with Energizer’s business objectivesBuild and maintain a project pipeline based on stakeholder plans, business needs, and market insightsEstablish category metrics; monitor and communicate performance to stakeholders and Proc leadershipOngoing evaluation of strategies based on market analysis, risk assessments, and changing market conditionsStakeholder Engagement & CollaborationServe as the primary liaison with stakeholders to understand requirements, align on sourcing methodologies, and ensure procurement’s ongoing value contributionUse strong influencing and stakeholder‑management skills to build trust, secure alignment, and drive adoption of recommended strategiesSourcing & NegotiationsLead sourcing events in accordance with Energizer’s strategic sourcing process, including data collection, opportunity analysis, RFI/RFP development, and supplier evaluationCreate effective sourcing and negotiation plans; lead negotiations to achieve cost savings, value creation, and cash‑flow improvementsManage contract renewals and ensure compliance with procurement policies and processesSupplier Relationship ManagementAct as the category subject‑matter expert and manage key supplier relationshipsConduct benchmarking, should‑cost analysis, and competitive intelligence reviews to identify opportunities for improvementIdentify risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure ongoing supplier performance and complianceAnalysis, Reporting & ToolsPerform advanced quantitative and financial analysis using Excel, Ariba, SAP, and related toolsProvide reporting, tracking, and analysis of key categories and sourcing dataUse eProcurement and eSourcing methodologies to enhance efficiency and transparencyLeadership & Team DevelopmentManage and develop Buyers, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedbackAct as an internal coach on the Energizer Strategic Sourcing Process and help elevate procurement capabilities across the teamWhat we are looking forBachelor’s degree5–7 years’ experience in procurement, operations, analytics, or related field with a track record of successfully managing complex projectsStrong analytical, critical thinking, and financial‑analysis skillsAdvanced Excel/PowerPoint/Access skills (beyond basic data entry)Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to business audiencesHighly self‑motivated, able to lead change in a decentralized environmentStrong understanding of cost drivers, working capital, and financial metricsExperience in contract negotiations, project leadership, and strategic planningKnowledge of eProcurement and eSourcing methodologies (SAP and SAP Ariba preferred)Come join us!Energizer is an equal opportunity employer, and we prohibit discrimination based on age, color, disability, marital or parental status, veteran status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other legally protected status in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.Total Rewards PackageThe salary range for this position is USD $89,000.00/Yr. - USD $129,000.00/Yr.Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.Energizer strives to create a supportive work environment centered around colleagues’ professional and personal well-being.
