Facilitator of Federal Programs and Parent Involvement 2026-2027
JOB SUMMARY:The Facilitator of Federal Programs and Parent Involvement helps to develop plans to support the implementation of innovative family engagement programming and strong community partnerships while effectively monitoring federal grant programming for the district. This position is paid for 100% by federal funds. Should funds no longer be available or the district plan changes, the position may be eliminated to meet the needs of the district.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Family Engagement:Collaborate with schools to monitor and implement plans for innovative family engagement programmingHelp develop strategies to ensure innovative Parent University initiatives, workshops, videos, and courses are in alignment with federal requirements and district goalsLead district Parent Involvement advisory group composed of families, staff, and community membersSupport designated schools in using Title I funds to support expanded parent involvement initiatives, such as summer book distributionsEvaluate efficacy of parent engagement programming through data collection and attendance at frequent parent involvement events around the district, including at night and on weekends as neededOther duties as assignedCommunity Resources:Help develop strategies to ensure the success of major community resource events, including Back to School Fairs, Fall Family Festival, Festival of Nations, STEAM Extravaganza, and othersMonitor efficacy of community partnerships by communicating regularly, attending meetings/events, and analyzing data with both new and existing community partnersProvide grant writing assistance, especially with the ESEA Consolidated application, as neededOther duties as assignedFederal Programs Compliance:Support the district and schools in effectively implementing federal grant programming and Title I application processes in alignment with DESE guidelinesAssist in collecting, entering, and analyzing data for compliance reporting and to measure efficacy of grant programmingAssist with purchasing process for proposed expendituresManage materials and ensure schools/departments are in compliance with inventory processesOther duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:Department of Elementary and Secondary Education CertificationREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of evidence-based best practices for school improvement. Knowledge of evidence-based instructional and engagement strategies for students and adults.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Requires experience with work requiring close attention to detail. Requires successful experience leading family/community engagement work in schools.SKILLS/ABILITIES:Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to meet established timelinesCommunicates effectively through strong verbal and written communication skillsProvides superior customer service and demonstrates cultural competency when working in person, by phone, and via emailBuilds and maintains positive, effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, and community membersExercises tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment in professional situationsUtilizes Google Workspace and Microsoft Office proficientlyAnalyzes situations accurately and adopts effective courses of actionMaintains discretion and confidentiality in accordance with District requirements and Board of Education policiesMeets the physical requirements of the positionTravels within the district as required (mileage reimbursed)PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and to lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required included close vision, distance vision, the ability to adjust and focus, and depth perception.
