Position Number 39439 Company Hanford Mission Integration So City/State Richland, WA Location 700/825JADWIN Posted 10/21/2024 Closes 10/26/2024 Regular/Temporary Regular Full/Part-Time Full-Time Job Duties/Scope Of Work * Provide drafting and CAD software expertise to staff drafters and designers to ensure department deliverables meet HMIS drafting standards and follow industry drafting practices. Direct the resources of the drafting and design department to complete department deliverables on schedule. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HMIS drafting and design. Buyer's Technical Representative (BTR) for Autodesk software contracts. Test, deploy, and maintain CAD software for use on the Hanford site. Maintain knowledge and experience of drafty industry practices and tools in order implement innovations when they are a proven benefit. Assist the Central Engineering Support manager in maintaining the health of the HMIS drafting and design program. Provide multi discipline design/drafting support as required to meet departmental commitments. Maintain configuration control of engineering drawings designated as "essential" and "support" level. Other job duties as assigned by the Central Engineering Support manager. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of experience performing drafting and design work in an engineering work environment or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Expertise using Autodesk AutoCAD drafting software, with recent experience using current versions of the software (version 2024 or newer). Ability to lead personnel to execute tasks successfully. Ability to accomplish tasks with a minimum of oversight. Ability drive issues to conclusion. Desired Qualifications * Experience as a designer in electrical, fire systems, and telecommunications engineering disciplines. Experience with Software Quality Assurance, testing, and deployment of CAD software. Prior experience with Hanford Site and/or other drawing standards and configuration management processes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
