Job Summary:
In this role, you will participate in the design and preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, graphic presentations and Plant Design and Piping (PD&P) drawings. You will originate basic deliverables and documents and verify compliance of pipe configurations and manufacturers' drawings. Your efforts will contribute to ensuring PD&P design meets industry best practices and compliance standards.Major Responsibilities:Plans plant and piping layouts and prepares detailed plant andpiping designs and drawings for structures (e.g.load sketchesand/or orientation and elevation drawings) and portions of majorplantsPrepares plant design and piping designs and constructiondrawings using 2-D / 3-D computer aided design (CAD),presentation graphics and plant design models and codesExamines and analyzes pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME codecomplianceOptimizes facility layout based on piping and instrument diagrams,client requirements, current technology, and operational andmaintenance requirementsParticipates in reviews and recommends approval of designdrawings and data for compliance with requirementsPrepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents andperforms associated technical bid evaluations with awardrecommendationsParticipates in studies that require knowledge of principles andtechniques commonly employed in plant design and piping workExamines and analyzes pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME codecomplianceOptimizes facility layout based on piping and instrument diagrams,client requirements, current technology, and operational andmaintenance requirementsAcquires knowledge of and utilizes BSAPs, SCPs, and othersoftware, including questioning the output generated by computerprograms when the results do not seem reasonableEducation and Experience Requirements:Requires a minimum of 6+ years of relatedexperienceAssociate degree or related technical trainingpreferredRequired Knowledge and Skills:What are themostimportantknowledge and skills (includes technical skills) that are neededUPON ENTRYto do the job successfully?What 3 to 5KEYfactors (ex. prior experience) should be used to determine qualification for the position?Total Rewards/Benefits:
